Ty Dilello – The Niverville Citizen
The Niverville Nighthawks have begun their season ticket drive for the upcoming 2023–24 season.
Season tickets are priced at $335 for adults and $190 for students/children. With more than 400 season tickets sold last year, the club hopes to cross the 425 mark in its second year.
“Season ticket holders are so important because they’re the ones showing up every game and giving their support in so many different ways,” says Kevin Pauls, the Nighthawks’ Marketing and Game Day Director. “Aside from being vocal, wearing team colours, and making the atmosphere electric, we have numerous season ticket holders who are also part of our volunteer network. Without them, we wouldn’t be where we are today. The community support in Niverville is off the charts, and you can see that on game days all season long.”
Pauls notes that during the first season there was a familiarity that developed between the folks who showed up at the CRRC game in and game out and those who were able to attend more occasionally. This dynamic helped to make games special in the sense that it was always a friendly and happy environment.
“You felt welcome, even if you were cheering for the opposition,” says Pauls. “It’s really cool to see people excited to be a part of that, and to have the opportunity to showcase that to visitors is just fantastic.”
With that said, it’s clear that the Nighthawks are building something special, both on and off the ice.
“The support from the community, season ticket holders, volunteers, and fans are beyond measure and will determine how high we can fly.”
