Niverville Nighthawks fans are helping make sure local families have access to food, one donation at a time.
Fans attending the team’s recent Red vs. Blue games were encouraged to bring food donations in support of Niverville Helping Hands. The response was strong, with the team thanking its fans for helping support the local food bank and the wider community.
Niverville Helping Hands provides food hampers to people living in Niverville, New Bothwell, Otterburne and Ste. Agathe who are in need of assistance.
The organization is open on the second and fourth Thursday of each month for those seeking a food hamper.
The food drive is another example of how local sports and community organizations can work together to support people close to home.
