Net Proceeds: All net proceeds of the Raffle will benefit the Niverville Jr A Hockey Club Inc, (hereafter known as Niverville Nighthawks) for facility upgrades at the Niverville
Community Resource and Recreation Center (CRRC) and general operational costs for the team.
CHASE THE ACE GAME
Ticket Availability: Ticket sales are restricted to those of 18 years of age and older. Tickets may only be purchased or sold in the Province of Manitoba or to a resident of Manitoba. Tickets are available each week until the Ace of Spades is drawn.
Prize Information:
i)Accumulator: 40% of weekly ticket sales.
ii)Consolation Prize: 10% of weekly ticket sales.
iii)Each weekly draw winner will receive the Consolation Prize.
iv)The accumulator will be seeded with $5,000. When the Ace of Spades is drawn and a second Chase the Ace is started, the second series will also be seeded with $5,000.00.
v)When the envelope selected by the weekly winner reveals the Ace of Spades (including week 1), the weekly draw winner will receive the Chase the Ace Accumulator, the Consolation Prize from that night plus the $5,000.00 seeded amount.
vi)Bonus Prize #1 – First Joker picked gets $200 cash prize paid by cheque.
Bonus Prize #2 – Second Joker picked gets a Niverville Nighthawks wrapped beer fridge (empty, delivered to the winner, value $729.00) If delivery is not accepted within 30 days of the draw, organization will retain the prize.
Ticket Information:
i)Ticket Prices: 15 for $10.00, 50 for $20.00, and 200 for $50.00.
ii)Tickets are available for the first week starting Friday September 19th, 2025 with the first draw being
Monday September 22nd, 2025. Sales for the following week will begin each Monday after the card for that
evening has been revealed.
iii)Tickets will be electronically generated by Tap 50:50 and will be available on the raffle website, at Niverville Nighthawks games, Nighthawks events and at Smittys, Niverville* (*exclusive to the night of the draw)
Event Information:
i)Draw will be made every Monday at Smittys Restaurant & Lounge –Niverville, located at 40 Drovers Run Unit 12, Niverville, MB R0A 0A1
ii)Cut-off for ticket purchases will be at 8:15pm every Monday. Sales will resume approximately 1 hour after each draw for the following week.
iii)Draw time: 8:30pm.
iv)A standard deck of 52 playing cards plus the two jokers for a total of 54 cards will be used.
Draw Information:
i)Chase card that will win the accumulator: Ace of Spades.
ii)Cards that are available and previously selected cards will be displayed on our website at https://www.mjhlnighthawks.ca/chase-the-ace and in person at the draws. The drawn cards will be displayed on a board that will be on display at Smittys all week for viewing. All remaining envelopes will be taken and stored in a safe.
iii)Tickets may only be purchased by residents of Manitoba or persons in Manitoba at the time of purchase.
iv)The following persons are prohibited from purchasing tickets: The Raffle Chair, board members of the Niverville Nighthawks, as well as employees of Tap 50:50 Event Consultants Ltd. All other volunteers of the Niverville Nighthawks, and ticket sellers are permitted to purchase tickets.
Conduct Rules:
i)During the dates and times and other details specified, tickets are available for purchase online at ttps://www.mjhlnighthawks.ca/chase-the-ace and in-person at Niverville Nighthawks games, and Nighthawks Events, while chase the ace is in operation. Tickets can also be purchased at our host venue for the Monday night draws at Smittys Restaurant and Bar in Niverville, Manitoba.
ii)A standard deck of 52 playing cards plus the 2 jokers for a total of 54 cards will originally be counted and the Ace of Spades confirmed to be in the deck. The cards will be shuffled and placed face down into non-transparent envelopes and sealed. The envelopes will then be shuffled and numbered from 1 to 54. The raffle chair will sign each envelope along the seal of the envelope. After each week’s envelope selection, the remaining cards will be secured in a locked safe at the Niverville Nighthawks office in the CRRC building until the next draw. The initial shuffling and putting cards into envelopes will be done at Smittys at 5:00pm on the day of the first draw. The Ace of spades and two Jokers will be shown to any in attendance and filmed before the initial card shuffle. Once the cards are shuffled and all placed in envelopes, the envelopes will go into a raffle drum where they will be spun, mixed up and then drawn one by one, numbered 1 through 54 and signed.
iii)A single ticket number will be selected each week by a certified Random Number Generator (RNG) from all raffle ticket numbers sold during the week leading up to the draw. Draws will be made at the following location: Smittys Restaurant and Bar at 40 Drovers Run Unit 12, Niverville, MB. The draw will be streamed live on Facebook and recorded for participants to view at anytime.. Purchasers do not need to be present to win. All ticket holders have a right to witness the draw.
iv)The winning ticket number and name will be announced for the winner to come up and select a numbered envelope verbally. The envelopes will at no time be touched by the winning ticket holder and pointing will not be accepted as an official selection. If the winner is not in attendance, we will contact the winner by phone (3 times over 5 minutes) and the winner will select a numbered envelope over the phone. The chosen envelope will be opened and revealed. If the winner does not answer within 5 minutes of the draw, a new winning ticket will be drawn by RNG and the process will continue until a winning ticket holder has been identified and selects an envelope. If the envelope selected by the weekly winner reveals any playing card other than the Ace of Spades, the game continues. All tickets from the previous week are then voided and ticket sales commence for the next weekly draw. The selected card will be marked, removed from play and posted on the board.
v)The winning ticket number and card selected will be posted to https://www.mjhlnighthawks.ca/chase-the- ace following each weekly draw. Winning information will also be announced and streamed live on Facebook.
vi)The winner must provide their full name, address, phone number and photo identification upon claiming their prize. Winners will be mailed a cheque with their winnings within 7 days. Winner has 90 days from the draw to cash the cheque. After 90 days the organization will retain the prize funds.
vii)Tickets are non-refundable.

Potential Game Interruptions: there are situations that arise from time to time that are out of the control of the organizers. The Niverville Nighthawks reserve the right to cancel an event due to extreme circumstances beyond our control, weather related or otherwise. in the case of a disruption in events, we will work with the legislating body (LGCA) to bump our event by one week if necessary.
Privacy: by claiming a prize, the winner consents to the use of their likeness/photograph, first and last name, ticket number, city/town of residence and the audio/video recording (or written transcription) of the winner notification telephone call, for any publicity purposes by the Niverville Nighthawks. The Niverville Nighthawks respect the privacy of its raffle supporters; we do not sell, rent, or trade our supporter lists. The information we collect is used to process raffle ticket purchases, keep our supporters informed about the activities of Niverville Nighthawks, and ask for their support for our mission.
